Nanette’s Cottage

by admin on May 8, 2009

I’ve always loved Thomas Kinkade’s cottage scenes.  There are certain things that just say “Kinkade” to me, and cottages are one of those things.  As the “Painter of Light,” he has a way of capturing the warmth and serenity of family and home.

Over the years, he has painted one image for each of his four daughters.  Now, we have “Nanette’s Cottage” which is named after his beloved wife.  I’m glad to see him go back to the beginning, so to speak.  I just love his classic scenes like this.  It’s a beautiful painting and I’m sure Nanette is pleased to have it named after her.  How inspirational is it to collect art from a man that is so devoted to his family?  If you haven’t seen it yet, hurry in and check it out.  It’s a new release, but it’s already a favorite among many!

I love this new painting. After reading your blog, I stopped into the gallery at Peddler’s Village to see it in person and I can’t believe how beautiful it is. I’ve been looking for a new painting to put on a certain wall in my home, but I haven’t found anything that is the right size or that I really fell in love with - that is, until now. I can’t wait to add “Nanette’s Cottage” to my collection. It’s even more perfect that it’s painted for his wife. It makes it that much more special and personal. I just love it! Thanks for the info and picture you posted.
